- 1
Prepare the Veal Chops
Using a sharp knife, make a pocket in each veal chop. Stuff each pocket with smoked mozzarella cheese and a slice of prosciutto. Season the outside with salt and black pepper.
- 2
Sear the Chops
In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the stuffed veal chops and sear on both sides until golden brown, about 4-5 minutes per side.
- 3
Cook the Chops
Reduce the heat to medium, cover the skillet, and cook for an additional 10-12 minutes or until the internal temperature reaches 145°F (63°C).
- 4
Prepare the Sauce
In a separate saucepan, heat the spicy tomato sauce over medium heat. Add minced garlic and fresh basil. Simmer for 5 minutes.
- 5
Serve
Place the veal chops on a plate, top with the spicy tomato sauce, and garnish with onion rings. Serve immediately.
