Tiramisu Ingredients
Method
Tiramisu Preparation
- 1
Prepare the Coffee Mixture
Brew the espresso and let it cool. If using, mix in the coffee liqueur and set aside.
- 2
Whip the Cream
In a large bowl, whip the heavy cream until stiff peaks form. Set aside.
- 3
Mix Mascarpone and Sugar
In another bowl, combine the mascarpone cheese, granulated sugar, and vanilla extract. Mix until smooth.
- 4
Combine Mixtures
Gently fold the whipped cream into the mascarpone mixture until well combined.
- 5
Dip Ladyfingers
Quickly dip each ladyfinger into the cooled coffee mixture, ensuring they are soaked but not soggy.
- 6
Layer the Tiramisu
In a suitable dish, place a layer of soaked ladyfingers, followed by a layer of the mascarpone mixture. Repeat the layers until all ingredients are used, finishing with the mascarpone mixture on top.
- 7
Chill
Cover and refrigerate the tiramisu for at least 4 hours, preferably overnight, to allow the flavors to meld.
- 8
Serve
Before serving, dust the top with cocoa powder and slice into portions.
