Add the Broth Ingredients
Pour in the beef broth, soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, and black pepper. Bring to a simmer and cook for about 10 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.
- 3
Warm the Roast Beef
Place the sliced roast beef in the simmering broth for a few minutes until heated through.
- 4
Prepare the Rolls
While the beef is warming, slice the French rolls or baguette lengthwise. Optionally, you can toast the rolls lightly in the oven.
- 5
Assemble the Sandwiches
Remove the beef from the broth and layer it generously onto the bottom half of each roll. Top with slices of Provel cheese.
- 6
Melt the Cheese
You may place the sandwiches under a broiler for a couple of minutes to melt the cheese slightly.
- 7
Serve
Serve the sandwiches with a small bowl of the broth on the side for dipping.
