Prepare the Fava Beans
If using dried fava beans, soak them in water overnight and then drain. If using canned fava beans, rinse and drain them.

Add the Beans and Broth
Stir in the fava beans and vegetable broth. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for about 25-30 minutes until the beans are tender.

Blend the Soup
Use an immersion blender to blend the soup until creamy. If you don't have an immersion blender, carefully transfer to a blender in batches.

Season and Serve
Add salt, black pepper, and lemon juice to taste. Serve hot, garnished with fresh parsley or cilantro.
