Make the Dumpling Dough
In a mixing bowl, combine milk powder, all-purpose flour, and baking soda. Gradually add water, mixing until you form a soft dough. Let it rest for 10-15 minutes.
Shape the Dumplings
Divide the dough into small portions and roll them into smooth balls, ensuring there are no cracks.
Fry the Dumplings
Heat ghee or vegetable oil in a deep frying pan over medium heat. Once hot, carefully drop the balls into the oil. Fry them until they turn golden brown, turning occasionally for even cooking. This should take about 5-7 minutes.
Soak in Syrup
Once fried, remove the dumplings and drain them on paper towels. While they are still warm, place them in the prepared sugar syrup and let them soak for at least 30 minutes before serving.
