Olives Preparation

Rinse the Nocellara del Belice olives under cold water to remove any brine or excess salt. Drain and set aside.

Place the rinsed olives in a bowl and sprinkle sea salt over them. Toss gently to coat the olives evenly with the salt.
Togarashi Syrup Preparation

Combine Ingredients
In a small saucepan, combine the granulated sugar and water. Stir to dissolve the sugar.

Heat the Mixture
Place the saucepan over medium heat and bring the mixture to a gentle simmer. Allow it to simmer for about 5 minutes, or until the syrup thickens slightly.

Add Togarashi
Remove the saucepan from the heat and stir in the togarashi spice blend until fully incorporated. Allow the syrup to cool to room temperature.

Combine Olives and Syrup
Once the togarashi syrup has cooled, drizzle it over the seasoned olives in the bowl. Toss gently to ensure the olives are well-coated with the syrup.
