Prepare the Apples
Wash the apples thoroughly under running water. Remove the stems and cut them into quarters, leaving the skin on.

Cook the Apples
In a large pot, combine the quartered apples and water. Bring to a boil over medium heat, then reduce to a simmer. Cover and cook for about 20-25 minutes, or until the apples are soft.

Mash and Strain
Using a potato masher or a fork, mash the softened apples to extract juice. Place a fine mesh strainer or cheesecloth over a large bowl and pour the apple mixture into it. Allow the juice to strain for at least 15 minutes, pressing down on the solids to extract more juice.

Serve
Chill the apple juice in the refrigerator or serve immediately over ice. Enjoy your fresh homemade apple juice!
