Baking Instructions

  1. 1

    Activate the Yeast

In a small bowl, combine warm water (110°F to 115°F), granulated sugar, and active dry yeast. Stir gently and let it sit for about 5-10 minutes until frothy.

  2. 2

    Prepare the Dough

In a large mixing bowl, combine all-purpose flour and salt. Make a well in the center and add the yeast mixture, melted butter, and egg. Mix until a dough forms.

  3. 3

    Knead the Dough

Transfer the dough to a floured surface and knead for about 8-10 minutes until the dough is smooth and elastic.

  4. 4

    First Rise

Place the kneaded dough in a greased bowl, cover with a damp cloth, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour or until it has doubled in size.

  5. 5

    Shape the Rolls

Punch down the risen dough and divide it into 12 equal pieces. Shape each piece into a ball and place them in a greased baking dish.

  6. 6

    Second Rise

Cover the rolls with a damp cloth and let them rise for another 30 minutes until they have puffed up.

  7. 7

    Bake the Rolls

Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Bake the rolls for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown on top.

  8. 8

    Serve

Remove the rolls from the oven, let them cool slightly, then serve warm.
