Cooking Instructions
- 1
Prep the Chicken
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Season the chicken breasts with salt and black pepper. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat and sear the chicken breasts for about 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown.
- 2
Baste with BBQ Sauce
Once the chicken is browned, remove it from the skillet and baste both sides generously with house made BBQ sauce. Place the chicken breasts in a baking dish.
- 3
Prepare the Crust
In a bowl, combine panko breadcrumbs, chopped basil, mozzarella, and Romano cheese. Mix well until everything is evenly coated.
- 4
Assemble the Dish
Spoon fresh marinara sauce over each chicken breast in the baking dish, then top with the panko and cheese mixture, ensuring each piece is well covered.
- 5
Bake
Place the baking dish in the preheated oven and bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and the topping is golden and crispy.
- 6
Final Touch
Remove the dish from the oven, sprinkle crispy fried onions on top, and let it rest for a few minutes before serving.
