Cooking Instructions
- 1
Prepare the Marinade
In a small bowl, whisk together bourbon, brown sugar, soy sauce, olive oil, minced garlic, and balsamic vinegar until combined.
- 2
Marinate the Salmon
Place the salmon fillet in a shallow dish and pour the marinade over it. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to penetrate.
- 3
Preheat the Grill
Preheat your grill or charbroiler to medium-high heat.
- 4
Season the Salmon
Remove the salmon from the marinade and season both sides with salt, black pepper, and fresh herbs.
- 5
Grill the Salmon
Place the salmon fillet on the grill, skin-side down, and cook for about 5-7 minutes per side, or until the fish flakes easily with a fork and has grill marks.
- 6
Serve
Remove the salmon from the grill and let it rest for a couple of minutes before serving. Drizzle with additional balsamic vinegar or bourbon glaze if desired.
