Lasagna Components

Method

Preparation Steps

  1. 1

    Cook the Lasagna Noodles

In a large pot, bring water to a boil and add a pinch of salt. Cook the lasagna noodles according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

  2. 2

    Sauté the Vegetables

In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for 1 minute until fragrant. Add the sliced zucchini, diced bell peppers, and sliced mushrooms. Cook for about 5-7 minutes until softened. Add the fresh spinach and cook until wilted. Season with salt, black pepper, and dried oregano.

  3. 3

    Prepare the Cheese Mixture

In a mixing bowl, combine the ricotta cheese, half of the mozzarella cheese, and grated Parmesan cheese. Mix well and season with salt and black pepper to taste.

  4. 4

    Assemble the Lasagna

Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). In a baking dish, spread a layer of marinara sauce on the bottom. Place 3 cooked lasagna noodles on top. Spread half of the cheese mixture over the noodles, followed by half of the sautéed vegetables. Add another layer of marinara sauce and repeat the layers, finishing with noodles, marinara sauce, and the remaining mozzarella cheese on top.

  5. 5

    Bake the Lasagna

Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and bake in the preheated oven for 25 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden brown.

  6. 6

    Cool and Serve

Remove the lasagna from the oven and let it cool for about 10 minutes before slicing. Serve warm and enjoy!
