CENE AL FORNO

Method

CENE AL FORNO

  1. 1

    Cook the Pasta

In a large pot, bring salted water to a boil. Add the fettuccini pasta and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

  2. 2

    Prepare the Chicken

While the pasta is cooking, heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Season the chicken breasts with salt and black pepper on both sides. Add the chicken to the skillet and cook for about 6-7 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and cooked through. Remove from the skillet and let it rest before slicing.

  3. 3

    Sauté the Garlic and Mushrooms

In the same skillet, add minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant. Then add the sliced mushrooms and cook for 5-6 minutes until they are tender and browned.

  4. 4

    Make the Sauce

Reduce the heat to low and add the tomato sauce to the skillet, stirring to combine. Gradually pour in the heavy cream and mix until the sauce is smooth and creamy. Allow it to simmer for about 5 minutes.

  5. 5

    Combine Ingredients

Stir in the grated Parmesan cheese and chopped basil into the sauce. Taste and adjust seasoning with salt and black pepper as needed.

  6. 6

    Serve the Dish

Toss the cooked fettuccini pasta in the sauce until well coated. Slice the chicken breasts and place them on top of the pasta. Garnish with additional basil and Parmesan cheese if desired, and serve hot.
