Brew a shot of fresh espresso using an espresso machine or a stovetop espresso maker. Allow it to cool slightly while you prepare the other ingredients.

In a cocktail shaker, add 2 oz of vodka, 1 oz of the brewed fresh espresso, 1 oz of coffee liqueur, and 0.5 oz of simple syrup.

Fill the cocktail shaker with ice and shake vigorously for about 15-20 seconds until well chilled and frothy.

Strain the mixture into a chilled martini glass using a fine mesh strainer to ensure a smooth pour.
