Method

Brewing the Tea

  1. 1

    Prepare the Water

Start by bringing 1 cup of fresh, filtered water to a boil in a kettle. Once it reaches a boil, remove it from heat and let it cool for about 5 minutes to reach the optimal temperature of around 80°C (176°F).

  2. 2

    Measure the Tea Leaves

While the water is cooling, measure out 2 teaspoons of Korean green tea leaves and place them in a teapot or a tea infuser.

  3. 3

    Steep the Tea

Pour the cooled water over the tea leaves in the teapot or infuser. Allow the tea to steep for 2-3 minutes, depending on your taste preference. Steeping for a shorter time will give you a lighter flavor, while a longer steep will result in a richer taste.

  4. 4

    Strain and Serve

After steeping, strain the tea into a cup or pour it directly from the teapot. If you used an infuser, simply remove it before serving.

Optional Additions

  1. 5

    Sweeten the Tea

If desired, add 1 teaspoon of honey or sugar to the tea for sweetness. Stir well until dissolved.

  2. 6

    Garnish

For a refreshing touch, add a slice of lemon to your cup before enjoying the tea.
