Main Ingredients

Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Rice

If you haven't done so already, cook the white rice according to package instructions. Keep it warm until ready to serve.

  2. 2

    Cook the BBQ Beef

In a skillet, heat the BBQ beef strips over medium heat until warmed through. Set aside.

  3. 3

    Fry the Eggs

In the same skillet, add a little sesame oil if needed. Crack the eggs into the skillet and fry them sunny-side up or to your desired doneness. Season with a pinch of salt and black pepper.

  4. 4

    Prepare the Vegetables

In a separate pot, quickly blanch the spinach in boiling water for about 30 seconds until wilted. Drain and set aside. You can also sauté the julienned carrots in a little sesame oil for about 2-3 minutes until tender.

Assembly

  1. 5

    Assemble the Bibimbap

In a large bowl or plate, add a serving of warm cooked rice. Arrange the BBQ beef, fried egg, blanched spinach, sautéed carrots, and fresh cucumber slices on top of the rice.

  2. 6

    Add Sauces and Garnish

Drizzle sesame oil and soy sauce over the assembled ingredients. Add a spoonful of gochujang for spice, and sprinkle sesame seeds on top for garnish.

  3. 7

    Serve

Mix all the ingredients together before eating. Adjust seasoning if needed with salt, pepper, or additional gochujang to taste.
