Prepare the Edamame
If using frozen edamame, remove from the freezer and let it sit at room temperature for about 5 minutes.

Boil Water
In a large pot, bring 4 cups of water to a rolling boil over high heat.

Add Edamame to Water
Once the water is boiling, carefully add the edamame to the pot.

Steam the Edamame
Allow the edamame to cook for 5-6 minutes, or until they are tender and bright green.

Drain the Edamame
Using a colander, drain the edamame and shake gently to remove excess water.

Season with Salt
Sprinkle the sea salt over the drained edamame while they are still warm, tossing gently to distribute evenly.

Serve
Transfer the edamame to a serving bowl and enjoy as a snack or appetizer.
