Method

Noodle Preparation

  1. 1

    Cook the Noodles

Bring a pot of water to a boil. Add the Korean wheat noodles and cook according to package instructions (usually about 5-7 minutes) until they are al dente. Drain and rinse under cold water to stop the cooking process. Set aside.

BBQ Beef Preparation

  1. 2

    Marinate the Beef

In a bowl, combine the soy sauce, brown sugar, sesame oil, minced garlic, and black pepper. Add the thinly sliced beef sirloin and mix well. Allow it to marinate for at least 30 minutes.

  2. 3

    Cook the Beef

Heat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Add the marinated beef strips and cook for about 5-7 minutes, or until cooked through and slightly caramelized. Remove from heat and set aside.

Vegetable Preparation

  1. 4

    Prepare the Vegetables

In the same skillet used for the beef, add a small amount of oil if needed and sauté the julienned carrot, zucchini, and bell pepper for about 3-5 minutes until they are slightly tender but still crisp. Add the chopped green onions and blanched spinach, stirring until heated through. Remove from heat.

Assembly

  1. 5

    Combine Everything

In a large serving bowl, combine the cooked noodles, sautéed vegetables, and BBQ beef strips. Toss everything together until well mixed.

  2. 6

    Serve

Garnish with sesame seeds and chili paste if desired. Serve warm.
