In a large pot, combine the pork shoulder, salt, black pepper, cumin, and garlic cloves. Pour in the orange juice and enough water to cover the pork. Bring to a boil over medium heat, then reduce to low and cover.

Let the pork simmer for about 2 to 3 hours, or until it is tender and easily shreds with a fork. Check occasionally to ensure the liquid doesn't evaporate too much. Add more water if necessary.

In a skillet, heat some of the cooking liquid over medium-high heat. Add the shredded pork and sauté until it is crispy and browned, about 5-7 minutes.
