Method

Steak Preparation

  1. 1

    Season the Steak

Rub the flank steak with salt and black pepper on both sides.

  2. 2

    Grill the Steak

Preheat the grill to medium-high heat. Place the seasoned flank steak on the grill and cook for about 6-8 minutes per side for medium-rare, or until the desired doneness is achieved.

  3. 3

    Rest the Steak

Remove the steak from the grill and let it rest for 5 minutes. This helps retain the juices.

  4. 4

    Slice the Steak

Thinly slice the steak against the grain into strips.

Taco Assembly

  1. 5

    Prepare the Onion

Finely chop the medium onion and set it aside.

  2. 6

    Chop the Cilantro

Rinse the cilantro under cold water, shake off excess water, and chop it roughly.

  3. 7

    Warm the Tortillas

In a dry skillet over medium heat, warm the corn tortillas for about 30 seconds on each side until pliable.

  4. 8

    Assemble the Tacos

Place a few slices of grilled steak in the center of each tortilla. Top with chopped onion and cilantro. Squeeze fresh lime juice over the filling.
