Taco Filling

Method

Prepare the Filling

1

Cook the Chicken

In a large skillet, heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil over medium heat. Add the chicken breasts and cook for about 7-8 minutes on each side, or until fully cooked (internal temperature should reach 75°C/165°F). Remove from skillet and let it rest before shredding.

2

Cook the Chorizo

In the same skillet, add the chorizo sausage and cook until it is browned and cooked through, about 5-6 minutes. Use a spatula to crumble the sausage as it cooks.

3

Combine Ingredients

Once the chicken is shredded, add it back to the skillet with the chorizo. Add the minced garlic, cumin, paprika, salt, and black pepper. Stir well to combine and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until everything is heated through.

Assemble the Tacos

4

Warm the Tortillas

In a separate dry skillet, warm the corn tortillas over medium heat for about 30 seconds on each side until pliable.

5

Fill the Tacos

Place a generous amount of the chicken and chorizo filling onto each tortilla.

6

Top with Fresh Ingredients

Garnish the tacos with chopped cilantro, diced red onion, and a squeeze of lime. Add salsa and avocado slices if desired.

7

Serve

Serve the tacos with lime wedges on the side for extra flavor.
