Rim the Glass
Take a lime wedge and run it along the rim of a chilled rocks glass. Dip the rim into salt to coat it evenly. Set the glass aside.

Mix the Cocktail
In a cocktail shaker, combine 2 oz of Patron Silver Tequila, 1 oz of fresh lime juice, 1 oz of Cointreau, and 0.5 oz of simple syrup. Fill the shaker with ice.

Shake Well
Secure the lid on the shaker and shake vigorously for about 15-20 seconds until well chilled.

Strain and Serve
Strain the mixture into the prepared rocks glass filled with ice. Optionally, you can serve it straight up in a chilled glass without ice.

Garnish the drink with a lime wedge and a lime wheel if desired.
