Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Fruits

Wash and chop the mango, strawberries, pineapple, grapefruit, mandarin orange, apple, and guava into small pieces. Remove any seeds and tough skins, especially from the grapefruit and tamarind.

  2. 2

    Extract Tamarind

If using fresh tamarind, soak it in warm water for about 15 minutes, then mash it with your hands to extract the pulp. Strain to remove any fibers and seeds.

Mixing

  1. 3

    Combine Ingredients

In a large pitcher, combine the chopped fruits, tamarind pulp, water, and sugar. Stir well until the sugar is dissolved.

  2. 4

    Add Optional Fruit Punch

If desired, add the cup of fruit punch to the mixture for an extra fruity flavor.

Serving

  1. 5

    Chill and Serve

Refrigerate the mixture for at least 1 hour to chill. Serve over ice in tall glasses and enjoy your refreshing Jarritos!
