Jalapeño Poppers

Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Preheat the Oven

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) to ensure it’s hot enough to cook the poppers evenly.

  2. 2

    Prepare the Jalapeños

Slice the jalapeños in half lengthwise and remove the seeds and membranes for a milder flavor. If you prefer more heat, leave some seeds in.

  3. 3

    Make the Filling

In a mixing bowl, combine cream cheese, shredded cheddar cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, crumbled bacon, salt, and black pepper. Mix until well combined.

  4. 4

    Stuff the Jalapeños

Using a spoon, fill each jalapeño half with the cheese mixture, packing it in tightly.

  5. 5

    Prepare for Baking

In a separate bowl, mix the bread crumbs with olive oil until the crumbs are evenly coated. Sprinkle the mixture over the stuffed jalapeños for a crunchy topping.

Baking

  1. 6

    Bake the Poppers

Place the stuffed jalapeños on a baking sheet and bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes or until the tops are golden brown and the cheese is bubbly.

  2. 7

    Cool and Serve

Remove the poppers from the oven and let them cool for a few minutes before serving. Enjoy your jalapeño poppers warm!
