Infused Tequila

Margarita Mix

Method

Infused Tequila Preparation

  1. 1

    Infuse the Tequila

Slice the jalapenos in half lengthwise. Place them into a clean glass jar and pour the tequila over them. Seal the jar tightly and let it sit at room temperature for 24-48 hours, tasting occasionally until desired spiciness is reached.

Margarita Preparation

  1. 2

    Prepare the Margarita

Once the tequila is infused, strain out the jalapenos using a fine mesh strainer or cheesecloth into a shaker. Add the fresh lime juice, agave syrup, and triple sec. Fill the shaker with ice and shake vigorously for about 15 seconds.

  2. 3

    Rim the Glass

On a small plate, pour out the salt. Rub a lime wedge around the rim of your glass to moisten it, then dip the rim into the salt to coat.

  3. 4

    Serve

Strain the margarita mixture into the prepared glass filled with ice. Garnish with a slice of jalapeno or a lime wheel if desired.
