Method

Prepare Ice Cream Balls

  1. 1

    Scoop Ice Cream

Using an ice cream scoop, form 8 balls of vanilla ice cream and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

  2. 2

    Freeze Ice Cream

Cover the ice cream balls with plastic wrap and freeze for at least 2 hours, or until firm.

Prepare Coating

  1. 3

    Crush Cornflakes

In a large bowl, crush the cornflakes into small pieces and mix in the cinnamon and sugar.

  2. 4

    Make Batter

In another bowl, whisk together the flour, eggs, and milk until smooth.

Fry Ice Cream

  1. 5

    Heat Oil

In a deep skillet or pot, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C).

  2. 6

    Coat and Fry

Take a frozen ice cream ball, dip it into the batter to coat, then roll it in the crushed cornflake mixture. Carefully place it in the hot oil and fry for about 10-15 seconds, until golden brown. Remove and place on paper towels to drain.

Serve

  1. 7

    Plate and Garnish

Serve the fried ice cream warm, topped with chocolate syrup, whipped cream, and cherries as desired.
