Fresh Salsa Ingredients

Method

Fresh Salsa Directions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Vegetables

Wash the tomatoes under running water. Remove the stems and cut them into small dice. Place the diced tomatoes in a mixing bowl.

  2. 2

    Chop the Onion

Peel the red onion and chop it finely. Add the chopped onion to the mixing bowl with the tomatoes.

  3. 3

    Add Cilantro

Rinse the cilantro under water, shake off excess moisture, and chop it roughly. Add the chopped cilantro to the bowl.

  4. 4

    Prepare the Jalapeño

Cut the jalapeño pepper in half, remove the seeds (if you prefer less heat), and chop it finely. Add to the bowl.

  5. 5

    Juice the Limes

Cut the limes in half and squeeze out the juice. Remove any seeds and pour the juice over the ingredients in the bowl.

  6. 6

    Add Garlic

Peel and mince the garlic cloves. Add the minced garlic to the mixing bowl.

  7. 7

    Season

Add salt and black pepper to taste. Mix all the ingredients thoroughly until well combined.

  8. 8

    Chill and Serve

Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and let the salsa chill in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld. Serve with tortilla chips or as a topping for your favorite dishes.
