Chips Preparation

Cut the Tortillas
Stack the corn tortillas and cut them into triangles (four pieces per tortilla).

Heat the Oil
In a large pot or deep fryer, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C).

Fry the Chips
Carefully add the tortilla triangles to the hot oil in batches, frying until golden brown and crispy, about 2-3 minutes.

Drain and Season
Remove the chips with a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels. While still hot, sprinkle with salt to taste.

Mix the Salsa
In a large bowl, combine the diced tomatoes, red onion, jalapeño, and chopped cilantro.

Add Lime Juice and Salt
Drizzle lime juice over the salsa mixture and add salt to taste. Stir gently to combine.

Allow the salsa to sit for at least 15 minutes to let the flavors meld together.
