Preparation Instructions
- 1
Boil the Hibiscus
In a large pot, bring 4 cups of water to a boil. Add the dried hibiscus flowers and reduce the heat to a simmer. Let it simmer for about 15 minutes.
- 2
Sweeten the Tea
After simmering, strain the mixture to remove the hibiscus flowers. While the tea is still warm, stir in 1 cup of sugar until fully dissolved. Allow it to cool to room temperature.
- 3
Add Lemon Juice
Once the tea has cooled down, add 1 tablespoon of lemon juice to enhance the flavor.
- 4
Serve with Ice
Fill a 24oz cup with ice cubes and pour the hibiscus tea over the ice. Garnish with fresh mint leaves if desired.
