Method
Core Brewing Steps
- 1
Grind and Prep
Weigh out 18 g of Locally Roasted Organic Coffee Beans and grind to a uniform medium-coarse grind suitable for pour-over.
- 2
Filter Prep
Place a clean paper filter in the pour-over dripper. Rinse the filter with hot water (about 95°C / 205°F) to preheat the brewer and remove any paper taste; discard the rinse water.
- 3
Bloom
Add the ground coffee to the filter. Start a timer and pour 60 ml of hot water slowly over the grounds to saturate them evenly and allow them to bloom for about 30–45 seconds.
- 4
Complete Pour
Continue pouring the remaining 240 ml of hot water in a slow, circular motion, maintaining an even pour to achieve a balanced extraction. Aim for a total brew time of about 3–4 minutes.
- 5
Finish and Serve
Remove the dripper, give the brewed coffee a gentle stir, and serve immediately. If not drinking right away, transfer to a warm carafe to maintain temperature.
