Method

Preparing the Duck

  1. 1

    Score the Duck Skin

Using a sharp knife, lightly score the skin of the duck breast in a crisscross pattern, being careful not to cut into the meat.

  2. 2

    Season the Duck

Rub the duck breasts with salt and black pepper on both sides.

  3. 3

    Cook the Duck

Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Place the duck breasts skin-side down in the skillet and cook for about 6-8 minutes until the skin is crispy. Flip and cook for another 4-5 minutes until the meat is cooked to your liking. Remove from heat and let rest.

Cooking the Pasta

  1. 4

    Boil Water

In a large pot, bring salted water to a boil.

  2. 5

    Cook the Pasta

Add fettuccine pasta to the boiling water and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

Making the Lemon Butter Sauce

  1. 6

    Melt the Butter

In the same skillet used for the duck, melt the butter over medium heat.

  2. 7

    Add Garlic and Spinach

Add minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant. Then add fresh spinach and cook until wilted.

  3. 8

    Combine Ingredients

Stir in lemon juice, cooked pasta, and grated Parmesan cheese. Mix well to combine, and season with salt and black pepper to taste.

Serving the Dish

  1. 9

    Slice the Duck

Slice the rested duck breast thinly.

  2. 10

    Plate the Pasta

Serve the lemon butter pasta on plates and top with sliced duck breast. Enjoy!
