Method

Preparation of Cheese Mixture

  1. 1

    Soften Cream Cheese

Take the cream cheese out of the refrigerator and let it soften at room temperature for about 15 minutes.

  2. 2

    Combine Cheese Ingredients

In a large mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, shredded cheddar cheese, Monterey Jack cheese, sour cream, and milk. Mix until smooth and well combined.

Adding Flavorings

  1. 3

    Mix in Flavorings

Add the diced tomatoes with green chilies, chopped jalapeños, garlic powder, onion powder, cumin, salt, and black pepper to the cheese mixture. Stir until all ingredients are evenly distributed.

Cooking the Queso Dip

  1. 4

    Heat the Mixture

Transfer the cheese mixture to a medium saucepan. Cook over medium heat, stirring frequently until the cheese is completely melted and the dip is heated through, about 10-15 minutes.

Serving

  1. 5

    Serve with Tortilla Chips

Once the queso dip is ready, transfer it to a serving bowl and serve warm with tortilla chips on the side for dipping.
