Mango Margarita Mix

Method
Make the Mango Margarita Mix
- 1
Prepare mango purée
If using fresh mango: peel and chop 1 medium ripe mango (about 1 cup packed) and purée in a blender until smooth. If using frozen mango, thaw slightly and purée. Strain through a fine-mesh sieve if you prefer a very smooth texture and to remove fibers.
- 2
Combine mix ingredients
In a small bowl or measuring cup, whisk together 1 cup mango purée, 1/2 cup fresh lime juice, 2 tablespoons orange liqueur, 2 tablespoons agave syrup, and 2 tablespoons cold water until evenly combined. Taste and adjust sweetness with more agave (1/2 tbs increments) or lime if needed. Chill the mix in the refrigerator for at least 10 minutes if time allows.
Assemble the Mango Margaritas

Prepare the glass
On a small plate, spread 1 tablespoon coarse salt or chili-lime seasoning. Rub a lime wedge around the rim of a rocks or margarita glass, then dip the rim into the seasoning to coat. Set the glass aside.

Shake or blend
For a shaken margarita: fill a cocktail shaker with 1 cup ice, add 1.5 oz blanco tequila and 3/4 cup of the prepared mango margarita mix. Shake vigorously for 12–15 seconds until the shaker is frosty and chilled. For a frozen/blended margarita: combine 3/4 cup mango margarita mix, 1.5 oz tequila and 1 cup ice in a blender; blend on high until smooth and slushy, about 20–30 seconds.
