Preparation of Taquitos Filling
- 1
Cook the Beef
In a skillet over medium heat, add the ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it apart with a spatula. Drain excess fat.
- 2
Cook the Chicken
If using cooked chicken, shred it into small pieces. If raw, cook the chicken breasts in a pot of boiling water until fully cooked, then shred.
- 3
Combine Ingredients
In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooked ground beef, shredded chicken, chopped onion, minced garlic, cumin powder, chili powder, salt, and black pepper. Mix well until all ingredients are combined.

Prepare the Tortillas
Heat the corn tortillas in a dry skillet for about 30 seconds on each side until warm and pliable.
- 5
Fill the Tortillas
Take one tortilla, add about 2 tablespoons of the filling mixture, and roll it tightly. Secure with a toothpick if necessary. Repeat for all tortillas.
- 6
Fry the Taquitos
In a large frying pan, heat vegetable oil over medium-high heat. Fry the taquitos in batches until golden brown and crispy, about 3-4 minutes per side. Remove and drain on paper towels.
