Method
Grilled Cheese Sandwich
- 1
Prepare the Ingredients
Gather all the ingredients needed for the grilled cheese sandwich.
- 2
Butter the Bread
Spread 1 tablespoon of butter on one side of each slice of bread.
- 3
Assemble the Sandwich
Place one slice of bread buttered side down in a skillet. Add 1 slice of cheddar cheese on top, then place the other slice of bread on top, buttered side up.
- 4
Cook the Sandwich
Heat the skillet over medium heat. Cook for 3-4 minutes until the bottom slice is golden brown. Flip the sandwich and cook for another 3-4 minutes until the other side is golden and the cheese is melted.
- 5
Slice and Serve
Once the sandwich is cooked, remove it from the skillet, slice it in half, and set aside.
Fries
- 6
Prepare the Oven or Fryer

- 7
Cook the Fries
Spread the frozen french fries on a baking sheet or place them in the fryer basket. If using the oven, drizzle with cooking oil and toss to coat. Bake for 20-25 minutes, turning halfway through. If frying, cook according to the package instructions.
- 8
Season the Fries
Once the fries are cooked, remove them from the oven or fryer and sprinkle with salt to taste.
- 9
Serve with Grilled Cheese
Place the fries on a plate alongside the grilled cheese sandwich for a classic kids meal.
