Fries

Method

Chicken Fingers

  1. 1

    Prepare the Chicken

Cut the boneless chicken breasts into strips, about 1 inch wide.

  2. 2

    Set Up Breading Station

In one bowl, place the all-purpose flour. In a second bowl, beat the eggs. In a third bowl, mix the breadcrumbs with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and paprika.

  3. 3

    Bread the Chicken

Dip each chicken strip first in the flour, then in the beaten eggs, and finally coat it with the breadcrumb mixture.

  4. 4

    Heat Oil

In a large frying pan, heat 2 cups of cooking oil over medium heat until hot.

  5. 5

    Fry Chicken Fingers

Carefully place the breaded chicken strips into the hot oil. Fry for about 5-7 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and cooked through. Remove and drain on paper towels.

Fries

  1. 6

    Prepare the Potatoes

Peel the potatoes and cut them into fry shapes, about 1/4 inch thick.

  2. 7

    Soak the Fries

Soak the cut potatoes in cold water for at least 30 minutes to remove excess starch.

  3. 8

    Heat Oil for Frying

In a deep pot or fryer, heat 4 cups of cooking oil to 350°F (175°C).

  4. 9

    Fry the Potatoes

Drain the potatoes and pat dry with a paper towel. Carefully add them to the hot oil in batches and fry for about 5-6 minutes, or until golden and crispy.

  5. 10

    Season and Serve

Remove fries from the oil, drain on paper towels, and season with salt and black pepper to taste. Serve alongside the chicken fingers.
