Method
Burger Directions
- 1
Prepare the Beef Patties
In a mixing bowl, combine the ground beef with salt and black pepper. Mix gently to combine without overworking the meat.
- 2
Shape the Patties
Divide the beef mixture into 4 equal portions and shape each portion into a patty that is slightly larger than the burger bun.
- 3
- 4
Add Cheese
During the last minute of cooking, place a slice of cheddar cheese on each patty and cover until melted.
- 5
Assemble the Burger
Toast the burger buns if desired. Place the cooked patties on the bottom bun, top with a slice of tomato and a lettuce leaf, then cover with the top bun.
Fries Directions
- 6
Prepare Potatoes
Peel and cut the potatoes into thin strips to create fries.
- 7
Heat Oil
In a deep pot or fryer, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C).
- 8
Fry the Potatoes
Carefully add the potato strips to the hot oil in batches to avoid overcrowding. Fry for about 5-7 minutes or until golden brown and crispy.
- 9
Drain and Season
Remove the fries from the oil and drain on paper towels. Season with salt to taste while still hot.
