Crispy Brussel Sprouts
Method
Cooking Instructions
- 1
Preparing the Bacon
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Place the bacon slices on the sheet and bake for about 15-20 minutes until crispy. Remove, let cool, and crumble into pieces.
- 2
Preparing the Brussels Sprouts
While the bacon is cooking, wash the Brussel sprouts and trim the ends. Cut them in half lengthwise.
- 3
Seasoning the Sprouts
In a large bowl, toss the halved Brussel sprouts with olive oil, salt, black pepper, and garlic powder until evenly coated.
- 4
Roasting the Brussel Sprouts
Spread the seasoned Brussel sprouts on the same baking sheet used for the bacon. Roast in the oven for about 25-30 minutes, flipping halfway through, until they are crispy and golden brown.
- 5
Making the Maple Bacon Glaze
In a small bowl, combine the crumbled bacon, maple syrup, and balsamic vinegar. Stir well until combined.
- 6
Combining Everything
Once the Brussel sprouts are done roasting, remove them from the oven and drizzle the maple bacon glaze over the top. Toss to coat evenly.
- 7
Serving
Serve hot as a delicious side dish or appetizer. Enjoy!
