Churro Ingredients

Method

Churro Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Dough

In a saucepan over medium heat, combine water, butter, salt, and sugar. Bring to a boil, then remove from heat and stir in flour until smooth. Let cool slightly before adding eggs one at a time, mixing until fully incorporated.

  2. 2

    Heat the Oil

In a deep frying pan, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C).

  3. 3

    Pipe and Fry the Churros

Transfer the dough into a piping bag fitted with a star tip. Pipe strips of dough into the hot oil, cutting them to your desired length. Fry until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes per side. Remove and drain on paper towels.

  4. 4

    Coat in Cinnamon Sugar

In a bowl, mix together granulated sugar and ground cinnamon. Roll the fried churros in the cinnamon sugar while still warm.

  5. 5

    Serve with Caramel

Drizzle warm churros with caramel sauce or serve it on the side for dipping.
