Lemonade Base

Raspberry Syrup

Method

Prepare Lemonade Base

1

Make the Lemonade

In a large pitcher, combine 4 cups of water and 1 cup of granulated sugar. Stir until the sugar is fully dissolved.

2

Add Lemon Juice

Add 1 cup of fresh lemon juice to the pitcher and mix well. Refrigerate the lemonade until chilled.

Make Raspberry Syrup

3

Cook Raspberries

In a saucepan, combine 2 cups of fresh raspberries, 1 cup of granulated sugar, and 1 cup of water. Heat over medium heat.

4

Simmer the Mixture

Bring the mixture to a simmer and let it cook for about 10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the raspberries break down.

5

Strain the Syrup

Remove from heat and strain the mixture through a fine mesh sieve to remove the seeds, pressing gently to extract as much liquid as possible.

6

Cool the Syrup

Allow the raspberry syrup to cool completely before using.

Assemble and Serve

7

Combine Lemonade and Syrup

In serving glasses, fill halfway with lemonade base and add a few tablespoons of raspberry syrup to taste.

8

Garnish and Serve

Garnish with fresh raspberries or lemon slices if desired. Stir before drinking and enjoy your Jazz Hands!
