Preparation

  1. 1

    Preheat the Oven

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

  2. 2

    Mix Dry Ingredients

In a large bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt until well combined.

  3. 3

    Cream Butter and Sugar

In another bowl, cream 1 cup of unsalted butter with 1 cup of granulated sugar until light and fluffy.

  4. 4

    Add Eggs and Vanilla

Beat in 2 large eggs one at a time, followed by 1 tsp of vanilla extract until well incorporated.

  5. 5

    Combine Mixtures

Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.

  6. 6

    Scoop Cookies

Using a tablespoon or cookie scoop, drop rounded balls of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, leaving space between each cookie.

  7. 7

    Bake

Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are set. The centers will look slightly soft.

  8. 8

    Cool

Remove from the oven and let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
