Method

Dough Preparation

  1. 1

    Activate Yeast

In a small bowl, mix warm water (1.5 cups) with sugar (1 tsp) and active dry yeast (2 tsp). Let it sit for about 5-10 minutes until frothy.

  2. 2

    Mix Ingredients

In a large mixing bowl, combine all-purpose flour (4 cups) and salt (1 tsp). Make a well in the center and pour in the activated yeast mixture and olive oil (2 tbs).

  3. 3

    Knead Dough

Mix until a dough forms, then knead on a floured surface for about 8-10 minutes until smooth and elastic.

  4. 4

    First Rise

Place the dough in a greased bowl and cover with a damp cloth. Let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour, or until it doubles in size.

Pizza Assembly

  1. 5

    Preheat Oven

Preheat your oven to 475°F (245°C).

  2. 6

    Shape the Dough

Once the dough has risen, punch it down and transfer it to a floured surface. Roll it out to your desired thickness and shape.

  3. 7

    Add Sauce and Cheese

Transfer the rolled-out dough to a pizza stone or baking sheet. Spread the pizza sauce (1 cup) evenly over the dough, leaving a small border. Sprinkle shredded mozzarella cheese (2 cups) on top.

  4. 8

    Add Pepperoni

Evenly distribute the pepperoni slices (1 cup) on top of the cheese. Sprinkle oregano (1 tsp) and Parmesan cheese (0.5 cups) for extra flavor.

  5. 9

    Bake Pizza

Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the cheese is bubbling.

  6. 10

    Cool and Slice

Remove the pizza from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes before slicing. Serve hot and enjoy your loaded pepperoni pizza!
