Method
Marinating and Grilling the Chicken
- 1
Marinate the Chicken
In a bowl, mix together olive oil, lemon juice, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Add the chicken breasts to the bowl, ensuring they are fully coated with the marinade. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
- 2
Assembling the Stromboli
- 3
Prepare the Dough
Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C). Roll out the pizza dough on a floured surface into a rectangle about 1/4 inch thick.
- 4
Add the Fillings
Sprinkle the mozzarella cheese evenly over the rolled-out dough. Layer the sliced grilled chicken, chopped sweet bell peppers, chopped romaine lettuce, and house-made bruschetta on top of the cheese.
- 5
Roll and Seal
Starting from one end, carefully roll the dough over the fillings to create a log shape. Pinch the edges to seal and tuck under the ends.
- 6
Bake the Stromboli
Place the rolled Stromboli on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown. Remove from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes.
- 7
Serve
Slice the Stromboli into pieces and serve warm, drizzled with pesto aioli to taste.
