Decaf Coffee Ingredients
Method
Preparation Directions
- 1
Boil the Water
In a kettle, bring 8 cups of water to a boil. Make sure to use fresh, filtered water for the best flavor.
- 2
Measure Coffee Grounds
While the water is boiling, measure out 2 tablespoons of decaffeinated coffee grounds. Use a coffee grinder if you prefer a finer grind.
- 3
Combine Water and Coffee
Once the water has reached a rolling boil, remove it from heat. Add the measured coffee grounds to a coffee filter or French press.
- 4
Steep the Coffee
Pour the hot water over the coffee grounds. If using a French press, allow the coffee to steep for about 4 minutes. If using a drip coffee maker, simply let the machine run its course.
- 5
Serve the Coffee
After steeping, if using a French press, slowly press down the plunger to separate the grounds from the liquid. Pour the decaf coffee into your favorite mug and enjoy it hot, or let it cool for iced coffee.
