Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Preheat the Oven

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

  2. 2

    Cook the Pasta

In a large pot, bring salted water to a boil. Add the rigatoni and cook until al dente according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.

  3. 3

    Prepare the Sausage

In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant. Add the lamb sausage, breaking it apart with a spoon, and cook until browned and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes.

  4. 4

    Make the Sauce

Stir in the tomato sauce and heavy cream into the skillet with the sausage. Add the frozen peas, salt, and black pepper. Let it simmer for about 5 minutes until the peas are heated through.

  5. 5

    Combine Pasta and Sauce

In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooked rigatoni with the sauce mixture. Add the ricotta cheese and half of the mozzarella and Parmesan cheeses. Stir until well combined.

  6. 6

    Bake the Rigatoni

Transfer the mixture into a greased 9x13 inch baking dish. Top with the remaining mozzarella and Parmesan cheeses. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, until the top is golden and bubbly.

  7. 7

    Garnish and Serve

Remove from the oven, let cool for a few minutes, then garnish with fresh basil before serving.
