Burger Patties

Toppings

Method

Preparing the Burger Patties

  1. 1

    Mix the Ingredients

In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, salt, black pepper, and garlic powder. Mix gently until all the ingredients are well incorporated.

  2. 2

    Form the Patties

Divide the mixture into two equal portions and shape them into burger patties, about ¾ inch thick.

  3. 3

    Chill the Patties

Place the patties on a plate and refrigerate for about 30 minutes to help them hold their shape while cooking.

Cooking the Burger

  1. 4

    Preheat the Grill or Skillet

Preheat your grill or a skillet over medium-high heat. If using a skillet, add a little oil to prevent sticking.

  2. 5

    Cook the Patties

Place the patties on the grill or skillet. Cook for about 4-5 minutes on one side, then flip and cook for another 3-4 minutes on the other side.

  3. 6

    Add Cheese

In the last minute of cooking, place a slice of cheddar cheese on each patty and cover until melted.

Assembling the Burger

  1. 7

    Prepare the Toppings

While the burgers are cooking, wash the lettuce leaves and slice the tomato into thick slices.

  2. 8

    Toast the Buns

Optionally, toast the burger buns on the grill or in a toaster until golden brown.

  3. 9

    Assemble the Burger

On the bottom half of each bun, place a lettuce leaf, followed by the tomato slice, the cooked patty with melted cheese, and then top with the other half of the bun.
