Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Bread

Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Slice the baguette or Italian bread into 1/2 inch thick slices. Arrange the slices on a baking sheet.

  2. 2

    Toast the Bread

Brush the tops of the bread slices lightly with olive oil. Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and toast the bread for about 5-7 minutes or until they are golden brown. Remove from oven and let cool slightly.

Make the Topping

  1. 3

    Combine Ingredients

In a large mixing bowl, combine the diced tomatoes, chopped basil, diced mozzarella, and minced garlic. Add the olive oil, salt, and black pepper. Mix gently until all the ingredients are well combined.

Assemble the Bruschetta

  1. 4

    Top the Bread

Spoon the tomato mixture generously onto each toasted bread slice, making sure to include some of the juices.

  2. 5

    Serve

Arrange the bruschetta on a serving platter. Serve immediately while the bread is still warm.
