Method

Preparing the Steak

  1. 1

    Season the Steak

Rub the ribeye steak with olive oil, salt, black pepper, and garlic powder on both sides. Make sure to coat evenly for the best flavor.

  2. 2

    Heat the Pan

In a large skillet or frying pan, heat over medium-high heat until hot. You can test this by splashing a few drops of water; they should sizzle immediately.

  3. 3

    Cook the Steak

Place the seasoned ribeye steak in the hot pan. Cook for about 4-5 minutes on one side for medium-rare. Flip the steak and add fresh rosemary sprigs to the pan. Cook for another 4-5 minutes.

  4. 4

    Rest the Steak

Remove the steak from the pan and let it rest on a cutting board for about 5 minutes before slicing. This allows the juices to redistribute.

Preparing the Vegetables

  1. 5

    Prepare the Vegetables

While the steak is resting, prepare the vegetables. Trim the asparagus and peel the carrots. Cut the carrots into thin strips or rounds.

  2. 6

    Cook the Vegetables

In the same skillet used for the steak (or another pan), add 1 tablespoon of olive oil and heat over medium heat. Add the asparagus and carrots. Season with salt and black pepper.

  3. 7

    Sauté the Vegetables

Sauté the vegetables for about 5-7 minutes, or until they are tender but still crisp. Stir occasionally for even cooking.
