Method

Preparing the Burger Patty

  1. 1

    Mix Ingredients

In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, salt, black pepper, and garlic powder. Mix gently until well combined.

  2. 2

    Form Patties

Divide the mixture into two equal portions and shape each portion into a patty, about ¾ inch thick. Make a slight indentation in the center of each patty to ensure even cooking.

Cooking the Burger

  1. 3

    Preheat Grill/Pan

Preheat your grill or a skillet over medium-high heat for about 5 minutes.

  2. 4

    Cook the Patties

Place the patties on the grill or skillet and cook for about 4-5 minutes on one side. Flip the patties and place a slice of cheddar cheese on each patty. Cook for an additional 3-4 minutes until the cheese is melted and the patty reaches your desired doneness.

Assembling the Cheeseburger

  1. 5

    Prepare Buns

While the patties are cooking, slice the burger buns in half and lightly toast them on the grill or in a toaster if desired.

  2. 6

    Assemble the Burger

On the bottom half of each bun, place a leaf of lettuce, followed by a cooked patty with melted cheese, a slice of tomato, and pickles. Add ketchup and mustard to taste, then place the top half of the bun on each burger.
