Pasta

Method

Pasta

  1. 1

    Cook the Pasta

In a large pot, bring water to a boil. Add 1 tablespoon of salt. Add the angel hair pasta and cook according to package instructions until al dente, about 4-5 minutes. Drain and set aside.

Pomodoro Sauce

  1. 2

    Prepare the Sauce

In a saucepan, heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and sauté until translucent, about 5 minutes. Add the minced garlic and cook for another minute until fragrant.

  2. 3

    Add Tomatoes and Seasonings

Add the canned whole tomatoes (crushing them with your hands as you add), fresh basil, salt, black pepper, and sugar. Stir well and let the sauce simmer for 20 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Shrimp

  1. 4

    Cook the Shrimp

In a large skillet, heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the minced garlic, red pepper flakes, salt, and black pepper. Sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.

  2. 5

    Add the Shrimp

Add the shrimp to the skillet and cook for 2-3 minutes on each side until they turn pink and opaque. Remove from heat.

Combine and Serve

  1. 6

    Mix Everything Together

In a large bowl, combine the cooked angel hair pasta, pomodoro sauce, and cooked shrimp. Toss to coat everything evenly.

  2. 7

    Serve

Plate the pasta and shrimp mixture. Top with grated Parmesan cheese and garnish with fresh basil. Serve immediately.
