Brewing the Tea

Boil Water
In a medium pot, bring 4 cups of water to a boil over high heat.

Steep Tea Bags
Once the water is boiling, remove it from heat and add 4 black tea bags. Allow the tea to steep for 5-7 minutes, depending on how strong you prefer your tea.

Remove Tea Bags
After steeping, remove the tea bags and discard them. If you prefer sweet tea, add sugar to taste at this point while the tea is still warm.

Add Flavorings
If desired, add 1 cup of fresh mint leaves and 2 tablespoons of lemon juice to the brewed tea. Stir well to combine.
Cooling the Tea

Cool Down
Let the tea come to room temperature, then place it in the refrigerator to chill for at least 1 hour.
Serving the Iced Tea

Prepare Glasses
Fill each glass with 1 cup of ice cubes.

Once the tea is chilled, pour it over the ice cubes until the glass is full.
